There are different generations of binoculars and the generation is a measure of the quality of the image that you see. A 1st generation binoculars needs a lot of light to show you a reasonable clarity picture. But, the 3rd generation binoculars are the best among the lot. Even with a small amount of light, a clear image can be seen. The second generation is in between the two generations in terms of clarity. You can choose a bushnell night vision binoculars after looking into the magnification, gain specifications. A night-vision binoculars will not extend well if the distance of the object being viewed is far away. The general clarity of the night vision devices will be less compared to the normal binoculars.
These binoculars can be mounted on a helmet or on the headgear. Night-vision binoculars with added spotlight help the miners and cave explorers immensely to see in the pitch-dark conditions. A night vision monocular is a better option if you are cost sensitive. The monocular has the same features as a binocular. So, it is a cost effective option. Also night-vision devices are used extensively by military and law enforcement agencies to do surveillance and scanning in dark. So, if you go for regular camping outs, then, buy one 3rd generation night-vision binoculars and try it out next time. You will definitely find amazing things that you had never seen in your previous camp outings.
